eBilanz Fabrik in your AI assistant
Updated: September 2026 · ~4 min read · eBilanz Fabrik (a tool, not tax advice)
In short: with this MCP server your AI assistant runs the technical checks on your balance sheet against the same engine our funnel uses and prepares the submission — only you pay and release; nothing is transmitted until you release it. You run the server yourself.
What you need
- Claude Desktop (or any MCP-capable client).
- Python 3 — preinstalled on macOS and Linux; on Windows from the Microsoft Store or python.org.
- Nothing else: the server has no dependencies, no pip, no sign-up.
In three steps
1. Download the file
One file, about 40 KB of readable Python — put it anywhere you will find it again:
2. Add it to your config
Open Claude Desktop's config file and add the server. Replace /PFAD/ZU/ with wherever you saved the file.
{
"mcpServers": {
"ebilanz-fabrik": {
"command": "python3",
"args": [
"/PFAD/ZU/ebf-mcp-server.py"
]
}
}
}
Where that file lives: macOS ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json · Windows %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
3. Restart Claude Desktop
ebilanz-fabrik then appears in the tool list. Try: “Is a micro GmbH, fiscal year 2025, balance sheet date 2025-12-31, a fit for eBilanz Fabrik?” or “Here is my balance sheet with total assets, total liabilities and the equity positions — check it and tell me what does not add up.”
What your assistant can do with it
ebf_get_products— Which eBilanz Fabrik products can be bought right now, as the server itself reports.ebf_get_pricing— Current net prices per submission, read from the site's published Offer metadata. German VAT of 19 % is added at checkout.ebf_check_eligibility— Ask whether a given company can be served — legal form, size class, fiscal year — answered by the production engine, with the reasons if not.ebf_validate_figures— Check a balance sheet and P&L against the same rules the funnel applies — balance, P&L tie-out, eligibility — BEFORE the person starts. Catches what people otherwise discover at the payment step.ebf_build_filing_link— Build a link that opens the funnel with every field already filled in, to hand to the person. The figures ride in the URL fragment and never reach a server log. This does NOT file anything: the person reviews, pays, and releases the transmission with their own ELSTER certificate.
What it deliberately cannot do
- It cannot transmit. No certificate, no PIN, nothing sent to the tax office. Deciding which position goes where is, when done as a business for someone else, reserved to the tax-advising professions (§§ 2–5 StBerG) — eBilanz Fabrik expressly does not take it on; you confirm the mapping yourself.
- It cannot pay. The purchase happens with you, not with the assistant.
- It cannot send anything quietly. What you get is a link with everything already filled in. You see every figure before anything happens.
Where your figures stay
Your AI assistant reads your figures, so they reach its provider. The link your assistant hands you carries the values in the URL fragment (after the #). Browsers never transmit a fragment to a server, so your figures appear in no access log until you open the page yourself. The check itself runs through our public validation endpoint, which discards the amounts once it has answered and stores only an anonymous check pattern without amounts.
Frequently asked
Do I need to be able to code?
No. You download one file and add three lines to a config file.
Does the assistant get access to my ELSTER certificate?
No, and that is a property of the server rather than a setting: it has no field for a certificate or a PIN. Only you release the transmission.
Do my figures leave my machine?
Yes, in two places: your AI assistant reads the figures, so they reach its provider; and for the check the server sends them to our public validation endpoint, which keeps only an anonymous check pattern without amounts. The prefilled link itself carries the values in the URL fragment, which browsers never transmit to a server.
Can the assistant file the e-Bilanz for me?
No. The assistant prepares; you review, pay and release. Deciding which position goes where is, when done as a business for someone else, reserved to the tax-advising professions (§§ 2–5 StBerG) — eBilanz Fabrik expressly does not take it on; you confirm the mapping yourself.
Provided without warranty; the statutory rules govern (including § 5b EStG and §§ 2–5 StBerG). eBilanz Fabrik does not provide tax advice.
Upload the finished annual accounts as a PDF, check the figures, release — we transmit via ERiC to the tax office and hand you the Transferticket.
